Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Ray
Dr. Ray is only one of a few board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons with both a medical and dental degree in the East Valley. It took great dedication to attend both medical and dental school. As both a physician and dentist Dr. Ray is uniquely qualified to treat his patients.
Dr. Ray spent seven years after dental school dedicated to oral and maxillofacial surgery training. He spent a year training in general surgery.
“Those were long days and even longer nights, but the lessons I learned during my medical training have proven to be invaluable,” he says. “Operating with the best of surgeons, dealing with serious trauma, and managing complicated patients made me a better doctor.”
Dr. Ray calls Chandler his hometown and is proud of his Arizona heritage. He loves telling people Ray Road is named after his great grandfather James Wilford Ray.
He and his wife Hillery love taking their four children to the same spots Dr. Ray rode his dirt bike, went camping, and played baseball as a kid. “My training has taken me to places that my family and I have loved, but there’s just something about Arizona. It feels good to be home.”
